New Discovery!

I love guacamole. I love California Rolls. I love avacados in my sandwich, I just love it in general. I didn't eat it all the time, but I ate it quite often. I have, in the past, felt some itching in my mouth from it, but I disregarded it, and thought it was because I ate it rarely before. As I ate it more often, this itching went away. However, this past lunch time, I had some Mexican food (from Chipotle) and had some some Guacamole with our chips. Shortly after, my arms began to itch, a lot. Then my armpits, then my legs, and now my whole body, from the shoulder down, is itching like crazy. I discovered, in an odd fashion, that I am alergic to Avacados. It saddens me because I love it so much, and this never happened to me before, and now I have to miss work on Sunday (today) and see if I can arrange a meeting with a doctor. Or monday, which is more likely.

I've heard of this happening before, from my High School Science teacher. He said that he has been stung by bees before, but one day, he was stung and he had a horrild alergic reaction, far worse than mine. I mean, I have rashes all over and am itchy like crazy, but he said he was far worse, and I beleive him, he was one of my favorite teachers and was always on the level.

I hope this goes over ok, and I can eat avacados again, in the future. I really love them. =(

Hmm... I've asked the doc about this allergy thingy 2 years ago. I thought one is born with it, but he said not necessarily. One can develop an allergy over time, over a period of one's life...

Good luck to you and your allergy.

What's odd is, even that week before, I ate sushi and had guacamole and I had no problem with it at all, but a couple days later, I react so violently! I even at at the same resturaunt that previous week, and had some guacamole 4 days earlier at work! How very odd indeed.

Wow, I read your message 22 seconds after you posted it! It's just taking me a while to type this message. =P

Yeah, my mom is into more, home-brewed solutions to my situation, so yeah, I have some lotions, and drinking some sort of tea, from beans and stuff, but it's not bad tasting, but not good either, which makes it drinkable.

I do hope these bumps go away soon, they very much interfere with... well, everything! =P

awww that really sucks. It happened to my buddy Ren, he loves mango, its his favorite fruit. But last year, out of nowhere, he got really sick after eating some. I'm lucky (so far) I'm not allergic to anything *knock on wood*
