Man, sunchips are so good. My first encounter with them was in the "French Onion" form. They were delicious, I loved them so. My heart sang out as I took a bite into them. I was in love, I never felt this way before. But... I was then to discover, Harvest Cheddar, and I thought, "oh my... what am I to do now?" So.. I felt bad, but I couldn't say no to Cheddar... I tried them, knowing I was cheating, and perhaps that was why it wasn't nearly as delicious to me. For my heart, is already belonging to the French Onion.

I have NO idea...

I don't know why I'm laughing. Should I be crying? Please tell me what to do. See for yourself, and tell me if I'm wrong here. I think a WTF qualifies, but also a LOL.

The Media

I giant regurgitation factory is what it's been reduced down to. A new idea is rare, and often you find yourself seeing reused, emulated, or 'based on' movies, books, games, etc all over. Some upcoming movies I've taken notice of caught my attention. V for Vendetta, Silent Hill, The Hills have Eyes, An American Haunting, The Da Vinci Code, Superman, and many others, are all copied from another medium (or remakes). And some recent movies that have already passed such as Blood Rayne, Resident Evil (both from video games), Daredevil, Spiderman, Batman Begins (comics), The Notebook, Lord of the Rings, The Cronicles of Narnia, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (novels), King Kong, Dawn of the Dead (remakes), etc. These are just a few off the top of my head. Though I liked many of these movies, (Lord of the Rings, have yet to see the Notebook, Batman Begins, to name a few), it just seems to me that more often that not these days, transfering from one medium to another is far too common.

I miss seeing new, and exciting things in theaters, that "push the envelope", as some would say. As much as I want to see all of those movies (and believe me, I do), it also pains me to see a decline of original ideas. I'm not saying there's no more ideas, and that people aren't coming up with new great stories, direction ideas, etc, but it just seems the market is getting a bit flooded with reused-copy-edit-and-paste ones. I can understand movie to book, because movies are sometimes inconvenient, and you want to have it with you, but not every book needs to be made into a movie.

Well, I guess I ranted on a bit, I mean, many of those were really well done, and many of those deserve to be movies, but my statement still stands. Some of those (An American Haunting for example) isn't really a remake, it's one of those 'based on a true story' ones, where it probably takes a snipet of truth and weaves a thread of ticket-selling-ideas. Don't get me wrong, all those 'up coming movies' that I listed, I want to watch, but often I find myself dissapointed and rarely see them (Final Destination III for example, I wanted to, but never got the time, and sort of lost interest). This is why I find myself going to a movie theater less than 6 times a year, and watching movies maybe once a month. I'm a harsh judge (and a bad critic!), and sometimes I judge unfarily, but my opinion is mine, and thats how I like it... unless you want it too, that's cool, I'm willing to share, but it doesn't hurt to have your own opinion too.

Recently saw See II ... no, wait, let me try again, I recently seen Saw II ... er, no, still not right. I recently viewed Saw II. THERE we go, *whew*. It was alright, I liked it, but it wasn't as deep and intricate (spelling?) as the first one, in my opinion. There were a few "I saw that coming a mile away" scenes, which were very rare in the first one, but over all, it was quite enjoyable. The sequel is set to hit in October, the 27th or something, and you must see it if you saw the second one (oh, cliffhanger-endings, you ticket-selling pimp you!).

I'm too lazy to give it a full review, but I really thought they could have put a bit more effort into the details, and had it less action oriented, and had more thought provoking puzzles. It felt more like a giant episode of fear factor, which was not the case in the 1st movie. The original (while also being original at the time, which added a lot) was more focused on emotional damage, and forced some thinking, while the sequel was more action-oriented. If I had to watch it again, I wouldn't mind, but not nearly as much as I wouldn't mind watching the first one (does that sentence make any sense?).

Help Wanted: Skill Needed

Well, I'll have to say, I'm not much of a internet website haxxor d00d, and I have no idea how to customize my blog, though I want to a lot. Anybody have any suggestions or anything? Like, html or wtf or whatever it is I need? >_>;

Charlie and the Chocolate factory. I had mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it was true to the book, more so than Willy Wonka and his Chocolate house was. However, the songs were not nearly as catchy as the originals. The songs were from the book, (as I was told), and exactly as they were, but whomever did the music didn't appeal to me that much. Probably because I was influenced by the Willy version, and liked those songs a lot.

In the end, I liked it. Jonny Depp was great, a bit creepy, but still I loved it. It was funny, quirky, and had good actors/actresses, I am bad with names, but I liked everyone in it. I didn't like the OTHER kids, but that was their intention, and they did a good job with that. I dispised them. So, it actually did quite good, 3 out of 7 confused chocolaholics ate their golden ticket.

Catching up is good to do

Got in contact with some freinds I haven't kept in touch with for some time. I'm really glad we're starting to hang out again, so my posts might be a bit less retarded as of late... hopefully. Oh yeah, there's no way the paperclips could really win, unless I really put effort into it. And you know me. Effort?

My weekend was packed, so I didn't get a chance to see Final Destination III, or do much this weekend at all in fact. Work kinda piled over onto the weekend and I'm really tired today. I'll try to keep posting to keep you updated as to how many paper clips are in the drawer, or how many feet of tape I think I have left in the dispenser.

This is the end of the line ... again ...

Well, since Final Destination III is coming out today, and I will, undoubtably see it eventually, I might as well tell you about the first two.

Final Destination: Death, the last place you'll ever go..? Anyways, a lot of cool death scenes, where coincidences (which aren't really coincidences at all) all come together and kill those who are suppose to be dead. It was pretty cool, I liked it... Two of death's plans botched to bring you this movie.

Final Destination II: Ok, well ... it's the final place again ... like Final Fantasy, it's never going to stop I guess. Anyways, because of what happened in the first movie, people who were suppose to die in the 2nd movie are now coming back to die. Their deaths were put on hold as death took care of those in part 1. Anyways, what happens is -[loss of interest, please hold as the rest of the statement is added in...]- and the ending sucks, my god. Anyways... Four and a half kittens died when this movie came out.

Final Destination III: Hmm, I didn't think this far through, I didn't see it yet... I'll post about it when I get a chance. Well I think ... some people are going to die... and death is behind it ... *gasp spoilers*

I hate movies. I see so few movies each year because frankly, they sicken me. So, I feel it's my duty, to let you all know my opinions about some movies, because my opinions are all that matter, and its better for everyone, if they started to find out what I'm saying, so they can know how wrong they've been.

Today's Flick: Kill Bill Vol. 1

I didn't like it. If I never see it again, I'd be happy. It wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't spectacular or noteworthy in any way. Lots of fighting, not much story, yes, tons of blood, but it didn't have anything that made me want to like the characters. I felt they divided the movie into two parts, the bad part (1) and the good part (2)... and a good ammount of ugly divided between the two.

The movie starts off with a very brief introduction of the story, barely any character developement or clue as to what their personalities are like. Then, a whole lot of bloodshed... a LOT of blood, a bit more blood, and some extra blood on the side. Oh, and some really bad diologue.

"I want him to know that I know that you know that they know that somebody knows what they know is known to someone else, but what they thought they knew about knowing, well they don't know... and now you know...know know know." *not actual quote

Where One crashed, two took off, making some great action scenes, diologue, build up, character developement, story... but Volume 1 is the retarded brother (or sister?) of the better, more loved, less inclined to drool on oneself in public.

Music was good in both movies, but without anything backing them up, there is no hope. See it, only to see part two. That is it's ONLY saving grace. The action is decent, but you can find much better action elsewhere. See it once, then never again. See part two, and enjoy it, forget about part one. In fact, you never read this review, go, be gone from my sight.
